Hi Wanda - and everyone! I would also love to meet up in Mulege, or elsewhere enroute to La Paz!
I'm in Guerrero Negro (Malarrimo RV park) so far, and as a solo female traveler (with my dog), I'd especially love to convoy with Wanda (if you
haven't passed me already!)
I had an incident on the highway yesterday, and my camper tie-down chains & one of my bars/brackets got completely busted (what a yardsale inside
the camper to contend with last night!) Luckily, some Americans stopped and were able to secure things enough to keep going the extra 80k to arrive
here, but I should probably address it here in town before I keep going. The tricky part is finding someone honest & capable to do the work with
my extremely limited. grasp of Spanish (so far!)
Anyway, I'm hoping I can accomplish this today in enough time to at least head to San Ignacio tonight...and THEN Mulege tomorrow (Sunday)? Will
anybody be traveling that way or spending time there then?

Thanks so much, Mike! I'm still trying to figure out what to do with myself, as I haven't gotten any recommendations on a good repair place here. I
will probably go across the street to the welding shop & see if they'll walk over and look at least. As the day goes on (and limited services in
San Ignacio), I am leaning to staying put for the night (at Malarrimo RV park in Guerrero Negro)
...although if I get antsy soon, i may make a break for Santa Rosalia, otherwise I may just go there tomorrow & wait for you to pass through

Be careful of having someone weld on the tiedowns they can get very hot inside your wall then possible fire. If they need welding find someone with a
MIG welder.

first building on right as you enter G.N. Across from E.B.J. Whale Tours Office. I know it says Fuel Injection but he does lots of stuff and has a
welder. If he can't do it he may be able to point you in the right direction.
Also, Taller Bucho's, Martin owner, no English, is a welder located across the street from the Bus Station. A few years ago Martin was trying to get a
MIG welder but we don't know if he ever got one.

Go on to Vizcaino. They have more in to way of hardware. Go to Juniors welding right next to Martitas restaraunt on the east side of the hiway,
North end of town. He is used to working on campers/trailers etc.

The welder across the street is reliable and does good work. His name is Jose' a really good guy and relativity cheap. I had work done there in

In San Ignacio, just a few blocks down the hill past the Mission and museum, there is a pretty white house on the left. It's just before a small, but
very good grocery store. There is a mechanic who speaks English and is very kind and helpfu with car mechanical problems. He may have some ideas.

Dani texted that she is across the street and they are trying to repair the damage. She is not sure if they can get it done today, she may be there
thru Monday.

I got all sorted out finally. God bless the crafty, resourceful (and affordable) Mexican workers! Jose was very kind, and even though there was a
language barrier with everyone there, we worked it out.
I may stop in to the guy in San Ignacio tomorrow though too, just in case there's anything else I need to contend with for the bent frame/opened
seals...and possibly my suspension which has been taking a beating! 
Will spend tomorrow night in Santa Rosalia & then head for Mulege for Monday!

I just did some catchup reading on the above site and they wrote something really noteworthy, I think.
Apparently, at one point they tried to get cash out of an ATM. nada. so they tried another. nada. In a panic, they tried to call the US and after 45
minutes someone came on the line yelling: the system is down, you cant use your card.
now, they were trying to buy groceries and they had some dollars set aside for emergencies but the village did not accept dollars. so the lesson they
learned is to always have a stash of the local currency available as well. good advice !
