Juan and Surfdoc took the bajagypsies out and they totally slayed fish...limited out in no time on whitefish, sand bass and sheepshead...it was a
perfect day for fishing...not much wind and pretty calm.cbuzzetti - 5-12-2012 at 10:09 PM

Went out of Los Frailes yesterday with a friend that lives there. Trolled off of the Punta Arena lighthouse, maybe 5 miles off with feathers, Rapala,
and ballyhoo. On the way back we saw more flying fish than I have ever seen before and lots of splashing going on. No bites!! Was a very nice and
relaxing BOAT RIDE.woody with a view - 5-13-2012 at 06:40 AM

Robwoody with a view - 5-13-2012 at 08:12 AM
well, i'll take the 8 next time. funny, someone circled 4 in the manual and never told me there was a printing error!
i just got the boat upside down and got under it. WTF? i found the leak, there was a pinhole about 1/2 the diameter of a pencil lead up front. woulda
never found it looking from the bottom. when i got inside underneath it was like a spotlight of sun coming thru!
i'm thinking about taking it to pta banda soon. i have a friend who lives in chapultepec who has never fished before. should be a blast!sd - 5-13-2012 at 08:21 AM

It is 9:30 and I am already back in with a limit of Yellowtail and Red Snapper. The fishing in the Santa Rosalia area has been wide open for the last
couple of weeks and we have a batch of really big yellowtail in right now. Several were in the 32-33 lb range. Bait is good right at first light and
we picked up several little squid which were used for bait for the Red Snapper (huachinango). The whale sharks were out in front of the marina so we
got to watch them slurping their food off of the surface. Tough day in Paradise.cbuzzetti - 5-13-2012 at 09:14 AM
Thanks Dan, the Salmon have been real thick this year. 300+ fish yesterday out of Port San Luis Obispo.woody with a view - 5-13-2012 at 09:17 AM

BOC Report.
Lonely fishing here off the restaurant with only us fishing! For the last two weeks big roosters on the iron. Nearly everytime out we hookup on a
visual boil. Roosters are nice size 25-50. My son yesterday bounced a iron under some boiling roosters off the bottom and caught a 45 pound dog
snapper. Today a whale shark or as Oli calls them a shark whale has been out front.
Also today got a bag of botihanna's(SP?) clams snorkeling.
Not any big reports of the conception point yet. Meteo of Mulege said a couple of small dorado were brought in the other day.
Lots of life in the bay and looks like a healthy year for the sealife in this part of the Baja.comitan - 5-14-2012 at 01:30 PM

Just got in early from fishing La Choya (sic?) which is less than 1/2 hour from the Loreto marina. I personally caught 4 yellows with the weighed
weights (does that make sense, it does to me) from 22 lbs to 26 lbs. Water was glass and I would guess in the low 70s.
Jeez, I must be getting old, the kicked my ass!Burbs - 5-15-2012 at 01:17 PM
