Two-E=Bud

bajajudy - 5-21-2012 at 08:49 AM

TD Two-E is to become hurricane BUD Wed.
No danger to Baja.

Bill Collector - 5-21-2012 at 08:51 AM

A little to early

mcpuitar - 5-21-2012 at 01:35 PM

When I saw the Subject line (Two-E=Bud), I thought you were going to say that Dos Equis is equal to Budweiser. I was getting all set to refute that statement, but then I realized you were just talking about the Eastern "Pacifico" weather advisory. HA! Guess I must have cold frosty mugs of cerveza on my mind today....think i'll head to the fridge right now.

BUD!

chuckie - 5-24-2012 at 01:10 AM

Keep your eyes on "BUD".....Just declared a hurricane, and plotted straight North at this time...

Russ - 5-24-2012 at 05:52 AM

I'll watch it.

We would welcome some rain but the water temp here in Peskys is still in the mid 60s!! The water in the SOC would be more hospitable I'm sure. Two early storms, no?! We all need some rain as Osprey's reports have noted. Please, I promise to be good.:coolup: Tio

bajajudy - 5-24-2012 at 07:05 AM

Here's one for you!

Hope you got your cold one, mc

Ateo - 5-24-2012 at 08:18 AM

Heading right at me in Puerto Vallarta. Hmmmmm.

willyAirstream - 5-24-2012 at 10:00 AM

Lets hope it is a Bud Lite!

Bob H - 5-24-2012 at 10:28 AM

Another update on Bud....

Surfs Up, Ateo! Punta Mita with peeling point waves? Ojala. Tio

burnrope - 5-24-2012 at 03:24 PM

Can't think of a better name for a hurricane in Baja than "Hurricane Bud".

mcpuitar - 5-24-2012 at 03:55 PM

"Stay thirsty my friends."

watizname - 5-24-2012 at 05:46 PM

With Bud as early as it is, and the SOC water temps warming already, things could get dicy this year.

Here in Vallarta there are some small waves....bigger than usual. I'm heading to sayulita mañana if the weather is decent for a surf. It's raining and humid. Water isn't that hot so I'm hoping it won't come this way.

Pretty calm here in Vallarta.....trying to decide if I should leave a day early to avoid road closures caused by mudslides. Can't miss my flight out of Guadalajara. Thanks for the links.

tiotomasbcs - 5-25-2012 at 09:15 AM

Amigo, I'd take Al Rokers advice and get the hell out of there unless you have enough time to wait it out! It looks like a big hit on the west coast!! Are you driving? BCS has a chance for some rain and Da Boyz are scramblin out to the surf zone/secret spot. Ten cuidado.:yes: Tio ps good link, Judy. Strange weather this past year!

Tio, yep, I'm driving....think I'll wait till next national hurricane center update in an hour and make a decision. Get some waves for me.

chippy - 5-25-2012 at 09:38 AM

Raining hard all morning. Winds 35 mph with some higher gusts. Surf is huge inside the bay. Supposed to get wetter, windier and bigger later in the day. We still have power and very cold beer;D

Ateo - 5-25-2012 at 09:42 AM

Chippy, where you at? I'm heading to the store in a few to stock up on water, food and of course, El Jimador!

chippy - 5-25-2012 at 09:48 AM

I´m in Melaque/Bahia Navidad. I did the supply thing this A.M. I don´t think this one will be as bad as Jova but we´ll see.

woody with a view - 5-25-2012 at 11:58 AM

any fotos?

Ateo - 5-25-2012 at 12:13 PM

Looks like from the last national hurricane center report it's still losing steam.

Mr Wood, I'll try and take a few pictures.

Ateo - 5-25-2012 at 12:27 PM

Had to download photobucket app to do this on the iPad....

Hope this works....couldn't edit size.....

View from the front.

View out the back:

Vallarta report: winds out of the south at about 5mph. Nothing else.

Cypress - 5-25-2012 at 12:43 PM

Bud is zero threat to Baja. No rain, no wind, no anything.

Ateo - 5-25-2012 at 04:50 PM

Updated Hurricane Bud picture from Puerto Vallarta.....not much happening here yet. No wind, just rain. Glad I didn't bail.....so far.

Ateo - 5-25-2012 at 04:53 PM

Actually its tropical storm Bud now......the Bud wasn't very potent.

tiotomasbcs - 5-25-2012 at 05:17 PM

Ya never know!? Bud lite! Over here we have been dodging major blows and just hoping for a little rain. When it looks like a sure hit---nada! Florida and the East Coast are getting hit right now. Glad you can enjoy another day in PV! Sayulita is fun even when there is no surf. Sale. Tio:coolup:

stanburn - 5-26-2012 at 05:14 AM

Here in Manzanillo I had almost 2.5" of rain and only saw two gusts over 30. One at 38 and the other at 31. At 1pm the airport was reporting winds of 41 with gusts to 55. Haven't heard of much damage, a few trees and a couple of fabric roofs on volleyball courts.

The center passed about 80 miles west of here heading north. Thank goodness it wasn't like Jova last year.

acadist - 5-26-2012 at 05:47 AM

Is the next storm going to be called Bong?

chippy - 5-26-2012 at 06:10 AM

Bud the Dud. I´m very happy to say.:bounce::bounce::bounce:

woody with a view - 5-26-2012 at 06:48 AM

Ateo, you could have stayed in SD if you wanted weather like that. your pics look like here the past 2 days. i bet the water is a little warmer tho....
