Exact directions to Otay Sentri office

zoesterone - 5-28-2012 at 07:36 AM

I have an appt. tomorrow for my interview, and would like some really good directions for getting to the Otay Sentri office, please. I will be going up Hwy 2000 and I do have a ready pass. That ready lane seems to be closed as often as it is open, though. thanks a lot.

As soon as you cross the border at Otay you'll come out on the 905. Take the very first exit, Siempre Viva. Turn right on Siempre Viva. Turn right on Roll (I think it's the first light). Go down Roll to the end, (past the "no entrance" signs). The very last lot on the right is the parking for the Sentri office.

Bring something to read. If my past two 'visits' to SENTRI are any guide, you'll be sitting in the waiting room a LONG time. Make sure your paperwork is in order, and be patient.

After waiting since Februaru, patience is a given and I always carry my Kindle. I have checked and re-checked my paperwork, so hopefully will glide through. One TINY hangup...maybe..there is a quarter size hole in a rear tail light but it doesn't impact the signal so I hope that won't hang me up. It is getting fixed in two weeks.

The Deli

After your visit to the SENTRI office, stop by Eric's deli. It's in the small strip mall to your front right as you exit the road from the CBP/SENTRI parking lot.......the one with the 7/11 mini mart. Good food, clean restrooms and free wi-fi

Another thing I learned about Otay SENTRI, and my apologies if this has already been covered: When you get to the point where you can pick your interview date, and the next opening is two or three months out, schedule a date, but keep checking the calendar for openings. I was able to reschedule my appt for 3 weeks out rather than three months.

When you get your conditional approval notification, go to the San Ysidro walk up office to schedule your appointment there.........sometimes you can get the interview the next day.
