Hacienda Los Algodones is just 2-3 blocks from centro, a short walk or they will shuttle you to & from your clinic of choice. Gated (at night) parking for cars & pickups. Rooms are not elegant, but clean, a.c., cable t.v. Adriana Tracey also owns a clinic "Tracey's Dental", and will discount the room if you use Tracey. $35-$50 per night, surcharge for a dog, but negotiable, especially during the slow season (like now). Was there last year at the end of June & it was 112f, so spent a lot of time in the room. www.haciendalosalgodones.com

The dentist's name at Tracey's is Josue Guillen Gonzalez. His english is about like my spanish (poor), but his assistant Marianna is fluent. I had several extractions, 7 crowns and a partial when I was there, and am totally satisfied with the work a year later. Will go back when needed. I had a tooth which was questionable, so Marianna walked me down the street to an endodontist for a root canal evaluation. Although the tooth was too far gone for the therapy, I have to respect a professional who does not try to "do it all".

The casino runs a shuttle to the border, but commuting on their schedule may be a bit hotter than you'd like. The northbound vehicular crossing can be vexing between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., so I'd not recommend a Yuma motel if you need more than one appointment.

There's an A.T.M. inside the "Purple Store" immediately south of the crossing on the easterly side of the street.
