I'm going to park on the US side and walk across to Tecate Immigration in order to get my Tourist Card stamped. Where I need help is getting
directions back to US Customs on foot. I've never done it and would like to be prepared.
Thank You in AdvanceMikeYounghusband - 6-10-2012 at 07:10 PM
Its directly across the street from Immigration. Walk parallel to the fence and around the corner to customs, its the only way you can go.seagar - 6-10-2012 at 07:12 PM

YES the place is not that big if you can get lost there you might reconsider going to Baja.Ken Cooke - 6-10-2012 at 08:39 PM
You can also take a stroll virtually using Google Maps.paranewbi - 6-11-2012 at 06:33 AM
Goldhuntress...where is that taco stand? I go frequently to Tecate and have not noticed it. I usually go to my friends Oscars taco place across and to
the left of the first light across from the OXXO and next to the fish taco place he also owns.
The person to the left in your photo looks alot like my friend Mario (ex bartender at the Diana). I suppose he could direct me to this also but would
have to copy the photo.seagar - 6-11-2012 at 07:25 AM
Thanks Folks for your help. Are there any days or time frames to avoid due to excessive foot traffic?vandenberg - 6-11-2012 at 08:28 AM
Seagar,
What is the reason for doing it this way? It's easier to just park on the Mexican side, get your FM, pay for it,get it validated and be on your way.
There are times when it may take a long time to get back to your car, crossing back into the US. Did it once, for different reason, and never again.David K - 6-11-2012 at 08:53 AM

Seriously? No way... Tecate is a night and day different place than Tijuana... and since there is no U.S. city on the border there, no draw for
Mexicans to go to. The auto lanes (2) get busy northbound only from people going there to avoid Tijuana or Mexicali.
