Where is the best place to stay on the ocean in Ensenada area?

CortezBlue - 6-24-2012 at 03:34 PM

During my trip to SF, I am considering driving to the pacific coast to cool off and then go up to San Diego for a few days.

What is the best recommend for a 4 or 5 star style resort on the pacific beach near Ensenada Rosarito ???

In Rosarito The Las Rocas resort

Not even close

Las Rosas in a walkaway.

Coral is big and noisy,
Las Rosas is a great "romantico" escape

It is just about the first spot on the ocean coming into town from the North,
right out on the point,

I would not stay anywhere else....

bajajudy - 6-24-2012 at 04:13 PM

I am an Estero Beach fan too.

SDRonni - 6-24-2012 at 04:43 PM

Las Olas Grand, south of Rosarito at Calafia....

half way between anthony's and paris de noche!

bajadock - 6-24-2012 at 05:42 PM

Hey, that place is on my list. Louie, the owner at Tequila's Bar next door, recommended it as a fine place to flop.

willardguy - 6-24-2012 at 05:51 PM

between the cost of the rooms and louie's borracho special it frees up enough cash for, uh, other stuff:smug:

liknbaja127 - 6-24-2012 at 06:43 PM

I agree, Las Rosas is very nice! the parking is secure, rooms all have a great view. friendly place!

Now THIS is my kinda place. Luv the rates for sure.

For that price you have to provide your own flea collar

Las Rosas, Hotel Coral are all great recommendations, too.

Just got back from Estero Beach Hotel 15 minutes ago and it was awesome. I recommend -- although its not 4 or 5 star like you asked for.

Have stayed at Marina Coral many times. Great place.

The best 5 star resort is (arguably) Casa Natalie, in El Sauzal. Just mentioning the name conjures up Tequila bottles in the room, robes, infinity pool. the ocean waves just 30 feet from your room, AND, a personal chef. And when you are outside, the waiters bring you free shots of tequila.

Quite a place!

Gee, either a real bargain or the Ritz times 2

So, I did indeed look up Casa Natalie.
Place looks just splendid
Then I checked the rates.
$500 to $1000 per night.
So, as I see it, if that is pesos it is definitely a bargain,
and if it is dollars (which I suspect) you are in a different league than I, my friend.

CortezBlue, asked.

No one said they could afford it...at least the Nomads I know.

We ended up staying there because another hotel property is also owned by the owners of Casa Natalie, and they let us stay there for the price of the other hotel, They screwed up our original reservation. That weekend even Robbie Gordon and his entourage stayed there also.
