Happy Canada Day 2 U 2!

Spent the day mountain-biking through the pristine Cypress Hills (north of Montana), birds, butterflies and total beauty (no moose, elk, coyotes or cougars spotted today...but did see 1 beaver) then pizza & wine on the deck overlooking the moon rising over an oxbow formation. Just waiting for the fireworks. Perfect day. Hope yours was, too, amiga.

The maple leaf forever,
w

I would of thought that when the Los Angels Kings won the Stanley Cup that Canada Day would of been canceled and made into a day of mourning.

And let us not forget the Canadian Soldiers, men and women, who fought and died along side us in Afghanistan.

Looking forward to a week in the Niagara Falls, Ontario area next month.

Cold, Canadian ale!!! Real woods, Lake Erie, the Niagara River, it's rather swift, eh?

shari - 7-2-2012 at 06:51 AM

Hey SF&H, my brother lives there...look him up and he can show you some secret spots! it's really awesome...

SFandH - 7-2-2012 at 06:57 AM

The Maid of the Mist and the Cave of the Winds are on the agenda, as is a beach cottage on a small Lake Erie bay.

you will love it...the jet boat rides down the rapids looks like fun too. You can fish the eddies but be careful of your footing at the edge of the raging river...there are lots of cool places to hike down to the rapids too. I grew up on Lake Erie...which may explain alot:biggrin:

I'm still up here in Edmonton, Alberta and my wife's family had one helluva a party all day yesterday and tons of fireworks (handled by experts of course) last night.
