Looks like a fun place, but be careful- those bandeja Paisas can be gut-busters! Colombia is a fun country, everyone should check it out.

What dishes would you recommend to look for at the celebration?

I know nothing about Colombian cuisine.

Thanks, Jan

Hi Jan - As an appetizer, I would immediately suggest asking for 2 Chicken Arepas - You will probably finish these within 5 minutes. After eating these, scan the menu and I am sure something mysterious will catch your eye. When I traveled to Colombia, I typically ate non-Colombian food. For instance, in Barranquilla, there is a large Lebanese population. I ate at Farrah's or Restaurante Beiruh with Leidys (while we were still dating). Just ask Clara and she can make some good recommendations for you. But, don't forget to order the Chicken Arepas - Clara's are OUTSTANDING!

I'm only posting this information for other Nomads. My Wife and I will be able to attend next year.

We will go next time, Gary. Clara might remember Leidys - they're friends on Facebook. Probably the only Costeña to visit her restaurant from Barranquilla. We will definitely go next time.
