Instructions to SENTRI Lanes at San Ysidro

bayrunner1 - 7-28-2012 at 03:30 PM

Can anyone refer me to or provide easy to follow instructions to get into the SENTRI lanes at San Ysidro? I am vaguely familiar with Tijuana, i.e. main streets. Thanks

Best advice I ever got was to get to the 2 tall condos near the border. The lanes are right there. You will then find the easiest way there in time, depending on the direction you are coming from.

Just go to the road that is along the border fence and turn toward the border gate at Calexico. As you get close stay in the left lane of that street and you will see a sign that says Sentri passes just the right of one that is for local traffic...you will be between the people going through without SENTRI passes and the local traffic...it's well marked. As you approach the border guards have your sun glasses off, your SENTRI pass cards ready to be photographed by the machines and have your passports ready in case they are needed.

Pretty much all main streets in Mexicali that go north will eventually run into the street along the border fence. Sorry I forgot its name.

Hope this helps.
