It's really not that much. Fishermans family eats and has gas for tomorrow.

that's only 30-40 fish if they are a good size which is reasonable for net fishermen. Sport fishing boats take that much if they go over their limit
or have a few guys on board. It is a coop so the fish earnings spread around the whole village and is an important resource there.
