Yesterday, we passed through Loreto about noon which is our usual itinerary. We were at McLuLu's at the end of May on her last day. We knew it was a
long shot, but we decided to drive past Lourdes place to see if she had changed her mind. No such luck! We know that Tacos El Rey is a favorite of
many Nomads but ate there twice in the past and didn't care for them either time. So Oxxa said she was going to pick a place at random. A block east
of Lourdes old location (on the same side of the street) we found Pangalapa and it was bustling. Oxxa said we were going to give it a shot. WHAT A
FIND! Clean dirt floors (I know, that's an oxymarooon), Olympics on the TV, and friendly staff. This is a mariscos place. They only serve fish of
the day, shrimp, octopus, clams, or scallops as a c-cktail or taco or tostado. That's the extent of their menu. The tacos and tostados were 20p
each. Oxxa had the fish tacos and said they were equal to McLuLu's. I had the scallop tacos and I as was in cielo puerco! Do try the grilled
chillis which are served as a condiment! All the salsas were fresh, crispy, and cold straight out of the fridge (unlike at McLuLu's).
Pangalapa is now on our "must stop" list!

Pangalapa has some of the best taco's in Loreto. The mixed c-cktails are also very good and fresh, too. Many of us living in Loreto prefer this place
over Tacos El Rey..Friendly staff like you said..Prices are the best in town.

Another Thumbs Up for Pangalapa. I think the fish tacos are only 15 pesos. Some time ago there was a thread about taco places in Loreto and no one
mentioned Pangalapa, not sure why, we've been eating there for past 4 years.

There you go. Take it from ncampion because our very close friends (Joe and Julie) have been going there for over 4 years and they won't even think
about going elsewhere.. The fish and shrimp are always fresh, as well as the tray of condiments that they serve.
