Good news: There is a huge school of tuna right off Pescadero, first one we've had in many years.
Bad news: There are at least nine seiners, making sure it's probably the last we'll see for a while.

Get guys who speak great spanish and know the boat language and give false reports far enough away from the fish on the vhf....might stir em up a bit!
Years ago off Agua Verde it was understood that all information said on the vhf was that a tuna was an AMBERJACK. The guys on the tuna boats are
listening...like I do!
F*^#@^g seiners. I do understand that the guys working on these boats are trying to make a living also. It is all part of the game, like ir always
was.

It would be kind of hard to fool these guys, they have helicopters spotting the fish. It also looked like they may have had a processor ship with
them. One boat was a couple of hundred meters offshore this morning and was so chock full there was barely any freeboard left.

Must have been a hell of a school, I just counted 16 seiners.

What a shame. Cabo charter boats are up on the Pacific as far up as Elias Calles. These seiners were in Asuncion last summer; helicopters and all!
What's left for sport fishing?? Tio
