Ethernet to android phone?

I'm taking off for BOLA for a week tomorrow to see if I can ruin my 115hp merc and dropped my netbook and fried the screen. Great. My cabin has ethernet via the good ol' cat5 cable, not wireless - anyone out there know of a way to connect my driod phone via cat5/6 cable? I'm finding nothing so pretty sure it can't be done. No cell, by the way.

Just plug a WiFi access point (AP) into the Ethernet jack and create your own WiFi network. Then connect your phone via WiFi.

You can use any AP. I have a tiny travel one from Trendnet that is about the size of a credit card.

Ditto.

There is no easy way to do this. The only way I've seen it done is called reverse USB tethering and you still may need a computer to do it(which defeats your purpose). For less than 30$ you can get a wireless router at Fry's or someplace like that, like previously stated. Much easier.

On the android go to Google Play which is the app store and look up PDAnet and download the app, then you will need to download the computer software version of PDANet (hard to do without internet access) then follow the instructions.

This last week Verizon lost a lawsuit in the supreme court and must provide internet access to tethered devices, ATT may also provide access as a hotspot. It may depend but it's working for me on Windows and OS X and Unix and it works great and it's free if you have unlimited data on the phone.

No cell service in BoLA.

I use my Galaxy Note as a WiFi hotspot.
