Any recommendations for a hotel around Altar, Caborca, Imuris (half way to Casas Grandes) along Mex. 2 or short side excursion.

Caborca is ten times what Altar or Imuris is.
The town centro does not line Mex 2. You have to turn right, at around a 270 degree switchback grade angle to get on the calle principál into town.
There are four or five hotels. One looks like a solid 3.5 stars that was advertising rooms for 500 pesos a couple of years ago. Coffee and Wi-Fi. You
should have zero issues finding a good room as long as you do not arrive very late or during a mexican or gringo holiday. Caborca as you know is in
the desierto Altar. It is cruel in the summer until the end of October.
