I have guests who will be crossing at TJ, getting their tourist papers, and then taking a bus from the downtown Aguila terminal to Vizcaino. How
should I tell them to get to the bus station from the border crossing? I'm pretty sure I've seen an Aguila contact number on the board, but I can't
find it, so if someone has that info, I would appreciate it.
My family and guests are coming to celebrate my 70th birthday with me. I hope any Nomads who are in the Asuncion area on Oct 6 will come to the party

Hi buddy, if it is still the same, when I walked across, after exiting the long walk down the fenced area with the bank and imig.offices it was a
short walk through the taxi stands to the ABC depot. That bus took me over Blvd. 2000 to the Ensenada station where I got the final bus. I remember
about 19 more hours to Loreto.

the easiest way is to get a taxi to the main terminal...then get the bus from there...maybe Sirena can bring them down too? then they could just get a

I know of a guy who is legally blind, he can still see but only shades of reality. He got on the city bus at Dana Junior High School in Point Loma and
2 days later he walked into camp at San Juanico, BCS.

walk across...at the end there are 100 taxies waiting
its 180 pesos to the main bus terminal
it takes 5 minutes...too far to walk
there you can get a ticket without advance purchase...
lots of seats are always available
the terminal is clean and safe...
take a few pesos...

I've bussed TJ/La Paz a few times, the above post refers to the Central Bus Station which, as posted is 6 mi. east
of the border, that is the one I would go to. There is a small
ABC station 2 blks from the Mex Immigration office, called
Estacion la Lenia (sp)?, there busses to my knowledge
go only to Ensenada and/or San Quitin, where you then
catch a bus that left from the TJ Central Station coming
down Hwy 1. It's 22 hrs. to La Paz so I'm guessing
15 or so to Vizcaino. Not that you asked but bus travel
in Mex is no longer inexpensive, guessing $135 one way

The "PLUS" bus is a lot more comfortable, with more leg room and a much more likely working toilet. Miles per minutes, it is a faster ride in the
northern half of the peninsula because of fewer stops. After Vizcaino the stops become a lot more frequent. 10 hours 40 minutes to Vizcaino, but if
the drivers stop to eat or if they have a lot of passengers I would add an hour.

Anybody know how many different bus companies drive the peninsula? Does one have better equipment than the other? Is there much of a price difference?

the abc bus in mulege is scheduled to leave 4pm...it leaves at 6pm
the ticket north is 1320 pesos
you'll arrive in tj the mext morning at about 7-8am
the taxi to the border is 180pesos
if you see a long line ask the driver to point you to a avan driver that takes you to the front....thats 70 pesos

taxi to the big station 180 pesos
abc bus to mulege 1320 pesos
you buy the ticket right at the station
easy
they drop you at the arch in mulege

I suggest whenever you take a taxi, ask for the price upfront. Just one way to avoid headaches with jacked up prices.
