Hot! I've never seen it this hot. No Visa check at the bug spray. They asked for my Passport at the checkpoint north of GN and wrote down info and the license plate number.

A lot of evidence of rain along the way south of San Quintin to GN. Light construction and very light traffic. Bad accident north of Catavina.

Got a Peso still sitting on the side of the road in Catavina.

Aside from the whole idea that there is no climate change/ global warming, I do have to comment on that stop at the state border.

Over the years, I've read so many different accounts of that stop. I have never personally been asked for any form of ID heading South. And, heading North, it has been many years since anyone asked for a tourist card or a passport.

Having read various reports about the withdrawal of immigration from the main highway, it just seems to me that on any given day, some folks in GN just decide whether or not they wish to spend some time hassling the passing parade. Just thinking.

It was the Military Checkpoint they asked for my Passport, not the Agricultural Inspection point.

One can not predict anything there. In 22 years I have seen it go every which way. A wave through one year and a full visa and PP check the next.
