San Diego Chargers game

SDRonni - 9-21-2012 at 04:07 PM

Since Sunday's game is blacked out in SoCal, does anyone know if there are any bars in Rosarito that will be able to get access to televising the game?

I have directv Sunday ticket and it will be blacked out on there. However, if you watch the "Red Zone" channel, they will cover any blacked out team when they are in the Red Zone. So, that way you can at least see when the Chargers or Falcons are in the red zone.

I was also told that a feed from Yuma goes into the bowling alley in El Centro, so one could probably watch it there.

The El Centro bowling alley is at 950 Imperial Avenue.

Yuma...Hmmm... It wouldn't be the first time I drove to Yuma to watch a mediocre team. I'd rather head south, so if anyone knows of a place please chime in.

My college roommates and I use to jam down to Rosarito Beach Hotel or Diana Bar in Tecate to watch the Chargers games. Great times. (Early 90's)

I read somewhere that the blackout extends 90 miles in all directions. So, that means it would be blacked out in Rosarito. Maybe you can call the hotel there and ask them. Or, look on their web site.

I didn't think Mexico applied to the 90 mile blackout radius..................could be wrong, but used to seriously research this a few years ago when these blackouts started happening again.

There were websites (at that time) that you could watch a limited feed and hook to your TV for basics - but not sure now.

I hate to admit, but after I got rid of cable, I adapted to no Padres/Chargers quite well. I'm still alive. Imagine if they had 7 quarters instead of 4. What would be the outcome? Just an imaginary set of time to win a game? Love sports though.........................

contact javi's paradise tiki bar on either facebook or twitter, I know they're advertising the chargers are looking great on the new 70 inch screen.

The game is on the radio.....you all know what that is....right? Little box with voices coming out of it.
So here it is.....turn the TV on to any game and the volume down to zero...then turn the radio on loud to the Charger game... drink heavily and pretend you're watching the game.

Way to bring it back to reality.

105.3 plays the games every week. No subscription needed.

I remember that radio thing that makes human sounds coming out of the speaker box.

And it's actually quite fulfilling and deeper.

Bob H - 9-21-2012 at 09:19 PM

Now, I read that the blackout is a 75 mile radius.

And now after really reading your post, I apologize for my lack of comprehension. Turn the Angels vs. Rangers down below human hearing and turn up 105.3 up loud and think you're watching a Chargers game. Who would know the difference?

thefirstrow.eu worked very well. But, too bad we lost the game.

Atlanta played very well today.
