Some interesting new Baja info from Serge Dedina, executive director of Wildcoast. Serge is at the forefront of Baja conservation and in the past few months he has received a lot of press for working with the local population to fight Vicente Fox's ill-planned Escalera Nautica project. In these interviews he touches on many pressing issues - Escalera Nautica, LNG terminals [the next big showdown, in my opinion], the whales of Laguna San Ignacio, and conservation easements in Bahia de los Angeles.

Enjoy.

OK, just for the record:

LNG is NOT LPG- (Propane, heavier than air).

LNG is methane, (lighter than air).

BIG difference.

I'll leave you to distinguish why.

Did anyone follow.......

.......the link to the Sempra Energy site in this article?

They have a superimposed aerial rendering of the LNG plant proposed near Bajamar.

WOW!

That is quite the setup. We play golf at Bajamar reguarly and during whale season we see LOTS of whales coming right in close to shore. That looks like it may change. Progress , right?
