I have had DISH SD for many years in BCS with no problems so of course I had to mess things up, maybe. My wife wanted to have the fancy recording
capability that the Hopper and Joey sysems of Dish provide. These work great, in the USA.
Now that we are getting ready to head south for the winter, I am getting nervous whether or not this new equipment will work at all in BCS.
First, I only have one 2 meter sat dish, which got me all the programming I really wanted in the past. I don't care about HD in BCS so my question
for you readers is has anybody gone thru this or have any comments??

We live in Buena Vista, you will need 2 dish's for hi- def, we rec. most of the hi-def channels. one for sat 119 and one for sat 129.

2 dishes or 2 down link devices? i have one dish but 4 LNBs on it to let me all incl HD.

This all depends on where in Baja you are going to use the Dish system. If you are far enough North, no problem just use a dish HD antenna. If you are
very far South, then its just like Cliff said, you need two antennas of about 4 feet, linked together to get HD, note you will still not get the
locals sent via spot beam to USA locations and you will not get the HD that comes over Sat 110. You will need a Distant Network subscription or a New
York address to get the networks. Hopper and Joey, you need to think about bringing down a more simple system. When you get a Hopper and Joey in the
USA, Dish does not allow any other sets on the account. So not 211, 622, 722 etc, these all work very well in Baja Sur. You may need to get a separate
subscription from Dish for a R/V set up. This takes a 211 receiver and a special antenna in the USA, you can not use the antenna in Baja Sur, but can
hook up to two separate antennas and get most of the programing. You should look for Alan Thompson on this board and go with his advice. We still do
not know where in Baja you are going to locate the equipment.
