Tagged along to a Miskito village with a couple of co-workers today.
The planks on this bridge are are spanning missing cross pieces, it's about 50' to the water.
These are the guys I tagged along with, the one on the left is a company lawyer and the assessor to the RAAN the one on the right is a forest technico
They were having a big celebration for Dia de La Raza and most of the community was on hand.
They had butchered a large cow for the feast.
Despite the extreme poverty here, the children seemed bright, well fed and happy.
This little girl stole my heart.
The church is the only structure in the community that's not a rustic shack.

Beautiful children and proud people. I remember the tropical area around Bluefields and the wooden houses and buildings. Lots of valuable resources.
Very nice pictures. Thanks, amigo. Tio
