I'm selling my Callen cabover camper and an AVON 8' rigid inflatable.
My Callen fits a Ford Superduty longbed, and is an open shell, with no camp equipment inside. It has has 6'6" of standing headroom inside, and big
windows for breeze.
It's in Ocean Beach, California, and I want $1000 for it.
The AVON is an 8' rigid-bottom inflatable, the kind with the fiberglass hull. It is well-maintained, and has a smooth-running 8-hp Tohatsu. The
trailer has never been in salt water (launched via sling and davit).

I don't take it off the truck.
It would be pretty straight forward to make a dolly for it, and the corners are steel tubes (like all Callens), so you could pretty easily mount
jacks.
I bought it because it really fit the need I had a few years back: I wanted to still carry motorcycles, haul things, and use my truck as a truck, not
just an RV. It's totally done that. Also, when I moved, it was really nice to have overflow storage that locked. On a daily basis, it's nice to have a
couple different surf boards and wetsuits in the truck.
But now, I have my first child on the way, and my wife wants to have more of an RV, and I find I have less and less energy to load all my camping gear
every time. So I'm selling this, and shopping for a camper (probably a Four Wheel Grandby or Keystone).Lee - 10-25-2012 at 03:38 PM
How old is the shell? Inflatable? Weight of each? How much new? Is the trailer legal on highways?

OK, that's what I thought. People who own these dont remove them. Too frickin heavy.

I've had the shell for about three years, and I think the guy before me had it for about the same amount of time. I don't know the weight of either.
I'm guessing the camper weighs about 600 pounds, but that's only a guess based on one time going to the dump and doing some math in my head about what
I thought it weighed the last time.
The guy I bought if from was selling it through the Callen shop, so they put it on the truck with a forklift.
The trailer is road legal, and has a permanent plate. Boat has current registration and runs really well. It's an electric start model, and when I had
the battery on a charger, I used the recoil starter. It fired up on the third pull, after not having been used for six months or so. It includes a
tank, a spare tank, all papers and documentation, paddles, rope sling, two-stroke mixing beaker. It really needs nothing to go in the water tomorrow.
Or today, if it wasn't dark out.
