Or you'll be sorry, I guarantee it...from impractical experience...

real chili has NO beans....

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I was referring to frijoles de olla with jalpeños or serranos added.

Most Méxicanos I have tried Carroll Shelby's mix on, have smiled and never touched a second spoonful. With or without beans.

"¡Se necesita cubitos de hielo a la mañana!"

Carroll Shelby's mix ...........okay...what is it?

It's a very popular chile con carne mix, sold in a tan colored box. Any supermarket carries it NOB señor mcfez. Separate little envelopes inside. In Mexico if I should ever try a box and have to substitute chorizo for part of the hamburger I would think twice about adding that clear envelope with the red chili powder. I love comida que se pica but many folks don't care for it. Prepare one box using a kilo of carne de hamburguesa, and a couple of big cans of frijoles de flor de mayo, and it'll feed a lot of people. Especially if you bring cornbread mix too.

A couple hours after dinner don't strike a match :wow:

I happen to have a box of that stuff. I'll give it a try....without the beans or the the chile powder. I can't do hot.
