Hey Nomads...looking to take a camping/fishing trip to San Quintin in January. Where would be the place to go??

Thank you!

If you have 4WD and decent ground clearance and a small boat, you can access Bahia San Quintin right by the inlet.
Go to Cielito Lindo, head to the beach, take the road along the beach to the right until it dead-ends at the little light house. You can launch there and access the ocean on calm days.
Watch the current in your boat and the tide in your vehicle.
See all those pickups parked to your left?
Don't drive across the mud flats to visit them.

Lots of places to camp in the dunes, but you are secluded and it's damp.
Might try a weekly stay at a hotel in San Quintin.
They usually just take out a calculator and multiply the daily rate by seven...but I have worked out a deal in the past for about $20 per night instead of $30.
(edit) Oh yeah, very important: Cielito Lindo's happy hour is 4PM to 5PM.

Fishing has been very good the last few months! Check WON. Camping in secured area! Los Jardines has campground next door that folks speak highly of and it's close to panga rentals. With the weather still warm it should be nice but don't just camp on the beach because of scattered "incidents". Tio ps use search for recent posts on SQ.
