If I feed em, we usually have lots of cardinals and pyrrhuloxia in my yard and now they're gone.
I googled up cardinals only to find they don't migrate. Anybody know where they went if they don't go north or south. I know, I know: East or West.
Anybody know?

We have them every year in Coyote Bay, will be curious to see if they have come back this year when we arrive after Thanksgiving. I always thought
they migrated from north and east. Never have seen one in SoCal.

Rain. Drought ended. The world's a big salad bar, and your feeder isn't such a big deal at the moment. Just guessing.
Same here in Loreto. Haven't seen either of those guys lately.

Suggest you ask Big Ole. He seems to be a reliable source for bird stuff.

In the winter, they may move short distances into more lush areas near water. Is there a creek or marsh within a few miles of your home?

I would see them in New England in the summer and they'd be gone by Thanksgiving. So, I know they migrate.

Skip, here's the link. Google says "Cardinals DO NOT MIGRATE"

Looks like you're right. But I know of at least one flock that migrated from St Louis to Arizona.
