Hi Jon, I think only 5x and 104x have a tracker that we can follow on IRC's map... What number is Robby Bell? Read the live comments coming in from
the race course to follow the leaders. Have a blast in El Arco... Check out the painted cave after the race!
EDIT: Robby Bell is on Bike #8x

The race car Josh and Raceworks is providing support for (#115) is nearing San Felipe (Race Mile 200).
Josh is at La Purisima, near Race Mile 750.bufeo - 11-15-2012 at 08:43 PM
I still have a vicarious connection to the B1K. Son-in-law will be driving the final leg for the 1001 car. At this time they're approaching BoLA and
running 1st in Class and leading some of the vehicles in the bigger classes. Whoot! Whoot. Gas on! I also see that the 115 is just a few miles out in
front of them. (I'm using IonEarth tracking.)

Mexico’s Gus Vildosola and his son Gus Vildosola Jr., won the last peninsula run in 2010 in the No. 21 Vildosola Racing Red Bull, Ford F-150. In 2010,
Vildosola Racing became the first Mexican national team to win the overall title of this race as their time on the course was faster than the overall
motorcycle winner for only the eighth time in the 44-year history of this race.
Viva! Mexico!bufeo - 11-16-2012 at 08:54 AM
Yeah, that was a great win for the Vildosolas. I'm just getting caught up this a.m. Sorry to hear Quinn Cody seems to have broken his femur. Glad to
see the #1001 is still running this a.m. and I think now 2nd or 3rd in Class. The lead cars/trucks shotd be finishing about now.
Allen R
P.S. Wow! It looks like the Vildosolas made have done it again. Still have to wait for tracker info.

Live video at the finish line in La Paz... Gus being interviewed next. They won at 19 hrs. 45 min. from Ensenada, and BJ Baldwin was about 16 minutes
behind them in overall time... The McMillins are about to cross the finish line...David K - 11-16-2012 at 09:03 AM
The Class One race car Josh is pitting (#115) is at Race mile 631 (just south of San Ignacio) and heading towards La Purisima where Josh and company
are.David K - 11-16-2012 at 03:53 PM
#115 is at Mile 906 doing 40 mph (north of Insurgentes)...bufeo - 11-17-2012 at 09:44 AM
Well, how did everyone's favorite do?
First of all, congrats to the Vildosolas. Great job...especially that last segment.
"My" car, the Class 10 #1001 finished 2nd in Class and I think in the top 20 or so overall (four wheel entries). At the time I'm posting this I don't
have the official results yet.
Well done to all the finishers. Just to get through that race in the required time is an accomplishment.

The team I race with "the Chacales" from Bahia De Los Angeles and Ensenada was a last minute entry. They started behind the Class 11 cars and went on
to win 1st Place in the Class 7 Open division.
Congratulations to Igor Galvan, Guillermo Galvan, Oscar Solaiza, and the whole team.Paulina - 11-17-2012 at 10:35 AM
This is where Dern and his friend Cy "watched" the race at 4500 ft. Dern was invited to be on the BFG radio relay crew after receiving his ham radio
license. They packed up with mules. I can't wait to see all of his photos and video.

Great Oggie! Well done. I followed the 7s a bit on both the IRC and IOE tracking.
Paulina, that would put any "nose-bleed" stadium seats to shame. What a view! Hope you'll post some of the photos.

Bufeo,
I haven't seen them yet, he's still down there. I do hope to post some photos/report on a new thread after he gets back. He said it was beautiful.
They spent the night at Rancho San Gregorio before heading up the mountain.

Paulina, where they on Mike's Mountain or a different peak? I am wondering if they were closer to San Juan, since you say they came up from San
Gregorio.
Edit: In looking again at that awesome photo, I see they are way south of the bay, so not on Mike's Mountain for sure (which is above the bay between
town and Camp Gecko)!

What a trip. I was in Baja Pits 10 prepping for when Destry Abbott came thru 13 minutes after Honda. I bet you talked to Robert on the Sat phone. I
had a bad omen for our team seeing 1X fly by our pit. No chopper following, just in and out and gone. Anyway, I'll try and post a report later
today.Paulina - 11-18-2012 at 10:56 AM

David,
They were near the San Juan mine. Dern will be home tonight, so I'll know more and post a report on a new thread.
