Hi all,
We need to pick up some new batteries for our house, question is can a FJ Cruiser take the load? I looked online and found 1325 lbs as the upper
limit, but we are looking at 1400lbs of batteries plus our own weight. Our FJ has aftermarket DeMello suspension, so I wonder if it would be ok. We
plan to put the weight as far forward as possible. Any thoughts here?
thanks!

If I were you I would go for it. Most probably your after-market suspension will help, but the wheel bearings are the weak part of the equation.
Still, you "over weight" is slight, and I don't think any problem.

I would be more concerned with whether or not they would fit in the car. One thing that I don't like about our FJ is the 2 level floor when you fold
down the seats and no matter what we put in there it never seems to fit well.....maybe it's just faulty packing planning.
