Where do you plan to be Dec. 21st .2012

QUETZALCOATL - 11-23-2012 at 07:49 PM

Provided I live that long I will be in Cabo on a ground zero point (note; a not the). I think if it's got to go-best with my whole family. Not sure I put heavy weight in a prediction from 2000 yrs but if it did happen I'm cool goin that way. Does anyone else have plans for that particular evening?

woody with a view - 11-23-2012 at 07:51 PM

Hope no one falls in ;) !!

Retireded - 11-25-2012 at 03:16 PM

La bufadora sounds good to me. What time will it start?
We've never been to a doomsday party before.

woody with a view - 11-25-2012 at 03:20 PM

it's only fun the first time, anyway!

shari - 11-25-2012 at 05:43 PM

I figure we'd get an early start on things and begin having the time of our life when we get up! So we'll have bloody mary's for breaky and see how things progress....you might want to get in shape now as there will likely be lots of dancing involved.

ligui - 11-25-2012 at 05:50 PM

List of failed end of the world prophecies:

shari - 11-25-2012 at 06:15 PM

Ateo...eres un agua fiesta! ( kinda like a party pooper)

Ateo - 11-25-2012 at 06:19 PM

Ha ha Shari. I'm all for the party! I just couldn't refuse to post that list. =)

I like that Spanish phrase!

QUETZALCOATL - 11-25-2012 at 07:58 PM

Ateo - cool time table but not very accurate, if you look carefully say for 2012 it says scientist ect say"none" and it refers to the calendars end as a "none" but the calendar does end that date. Also nothing said about the dark rift. Lots of the tables dates refer to the "2nd coming" also and not end times. So as stated cool lil chart just not very factual. Still tho I do think if its time-its time on the flip if not-not.

BajaDanD - 11-25-2012 at 08:25 PM

got this from the list

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dates_predicted_for_apo...

1806 The Prophet Hen of Leeds In Leeds, England in 1806 a hen began laying eggs on which the phrase "Christ is coming" was written. Eventually it was discovered to be a hoax. The hoaxster had written on the eggs in a corrosive ink so as to etch the eggs, and reinserted the eggs back into the hen.

Are you kidding me
Reinserted the eggs back into the hen

Half way from Los Angeles to San Carlos with 4 dirt bikes and a dingy. Will be in Nogales that night, cross the border in the AM.

winter solstice, summer solstice, the equinoxes -- all good excuses to drink and be merry!

Bajagypsy - 11-26-2012 at 10:59 AM

Will be leaving Freezing cold Canada, and be on our way to Asuncion!

805gregg - 11-26-2012 at 06:58 PM

Yeah right, they can predict the end of the world, but not recognize Cortez as a Spaniard, and not a god.

Leo - 11-26-2012 at 07:32 PM

Let's get back on the track and simply state where you plan to be that day.

grace59 - 11-26-2012 at 10:23 PM

On my way to San Felipe....Hope I arrive before it all ends! :bounce:

Humboldt Chris and Robin - 11-28-2012 at 05:53 PM

I'm doing the usual dance naked on a mountain top somewhere - there's an image that should send y'all to therapy!

pappy - 11-29-2012 at 10:52 AM

Thinking I'll peruse the central coast zone, maybe check on the cono clan and take it from there...

Retireded - 11-29-2012 at 07:52 PM

I gues I'm the dumbest gringo in Baja. When I read 'Bufadora', I immediately remembered the signs pointing to La Bufadora just South of Ensenada and thought "That's nearby, We can go there easily". Then today I looked closer and found the Bufadora Inn and it's nowhere near the one I was thinking of. I won't be able to travel that far just yet I'll try to make it for the next doomsday though.

[Edited on 11-30-2012 by CortezBlue]

El Centenario

fixtrauma - 11-30-2012 at 02:49 PM

We will be in El Centenario enjoying the sunset and watching the city lights come on in La Paz. And will be there to do it all over again on Dec. 22nd!!

Yep.

Really? Then why are you still here?

mcfez - 12-4-2012 at 10:03 AM

Having dinner with Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Nettles over at Next Level....then returning to home.

Phil S - 12-4-2012 at 10:21 AM

CortezBlue. I think your right on the time as being 11:12 But is that a.m. or p.m.?
If it is a.m. I'd suggest you'all better start drinking about 11:05 to savor the taste of your favorite beverage. For me, I'll be in Roseburg Oregon prepared to shake hands with God, or my maker whom ever it/she/he may be. And should nothing happen at 11:12 I'll wait another 5 minutes because of man's ability to screw up the assembly of whatever time piece I may be checking at that immediate timeframe. Go in Peace my fellow Nomads. What ever the result may be, we will all eventually meet somewhere in the by & by to toast all those brave Nomads who didn't believe something like this "could" happen.???? And I'm "dying" to read the Nomads post first thing when I get up on the morning of December 22nd. To all you "special" people. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

QUETZALCOATL - 12-5-2012 at 10:40 AM

As this date draws near will there be any NOMADS in the Cabo area on or about that date if so I'd like to buy ya a beer and toast to great baja adventures.
