Follow up on trailer sin registration

Thought I would post a follow up. It was a pretty easy, although long and slow, drive up to SD from San Juanico. We were mostly empty but the trailer still slowed us down. One flat on the trailer south of Loreto on our way up - just after sunset and we were swarmed by zancudos while making the swap!

Anyway, we always go through Tecate and it was a longer wait then normal for a Tuesday mid-morning crossing - about an hour. Got pulled into secondary with the trailer, as expected. The agents were courteous and calm, went about their business and in short order we were on our way.

Never once asked us for registration on the car or trailer.

On the way south same plan - cross in Tecate. Very mellow with no one in line. Got the green light but they still pulled us over. We only had used furniture and old bikes and surfboards in the back (Craigslist stuff). They took one look inside asked us where we got it (lied and said they were gifts) closed the door and off we went.

Again, never once asked us for car or trailer registration.

Long and slow coming south with the trailer - all the way to GN the first day (12 hours!), Loreto the second day (7 hours), and home the last day (4 hours). Like I said, the trailer really slowed us down.

Oh, spent the last night at the Villa Palmar in Loreto. A bit pricey but very nice and the service was fantastic. Great meal, too.

Hasta!
