I'm thinking about picking up a dirt bike, and I see people rid ing them everywhere. Can anyone here tell me if Mexican insurance is required on
these? Also, is motorcycle endorsement required? I'd rather not go back up to Wa. state to obtain endorsement, so if it is needed I will oribably
drop the idea.

The legalities of registration, licensing, and insurance will vary depending on where in Baja you will be riding.
I have ridden an unlicensed /uninsured dirtbike all over Baja numerous times with no problems from police or accidents.
A friend under similar circumstances was fined on the East Cape road just outside San Jose for not having a license plate on his bike.
Generally, it is better away from large centres....it will always be a good idea to have proof of ownership in case you are stopped by police.
As with all vehicle accidents, no liability insurance can create problems.
Good luck.

I would definitely get liability insurance as to keep yourself out of legal trouble if something was to happen. I don't think a lot of insurance
places will insure motorcycles (dirt bikes) for theft. Check with Bajabound Insurance. As for the motorcycle endorsement, I'm not sure, but personally
wouldn't worry about it too much. But, that's just me.
