Last weekend Fletch and I headed down to the Tecate Hare Scrambles put on by the Los Ancianos Motorcycle Club. This is an annual event that has an
amateur race in the morning and a pro race in the afternoon and is held on private land out near Rancho Santa veronica just south of El Hongo. Baja
Bound has been a sponsor of the club for the last few years, and they do a great job putting the event on which brings almost 200 riders out to
compete. It's a pretty fun race to spectate at as well, since the riders in each of the races do several laps and come past the camping/pit area. Here
are some photos from the weekend...
Fletch and I about to head south...
The Tecate border crossing...
Fletch checking out some "locals"
Fletch keeping toasty by the fire...
The Los Ancianos crew getting ready for the first race....
Ivan Ramirez took the lead early in the pro race and never let up...
Jesse Beck on the gas....
Fletch digging the Baja sunshine...
The finish line...
¡Viva Baja!

#100 on the green bike is Larry Roeseler. The guy cornering around a tree trunk I think is Alexander Smith, and the blue bike and white helmet I
think is Justin, the Ironman winner.
It was great chatting with you Geoff, and patting Fletch around the campfire.
That pretty much sums it up, yet even more details are at:

Cheers!
