Morning all. Last Friday I was in Puebla, and I photographed the murals in the c. 1580 house built for the dean of the Puebla Cathedral chapter. One panel represents the Triumph of Death, a rare theme in 16th century Mexico.

This is a detail of the Triumph of Death mural at the Franciscan-Augustinian convent at Huatlatlauca, in Puebla state. In the larger mural death is poised to claim its victims with a bow and arrows.
