Remember when Randy Johnson of the Seattle Mariners threw a pitch behind JKruk in an All-Star game. That was one of the funniest things I ever saw in MLB.

Still makes me chuckle.

So Kruk is looking for a convoy on Jan 3.

Bob, we also read by the shape of the word, which is why ALL CAPS is such a pain (PITA). Lower case text has ascenders and descenders which explains why your last post is easier to read than if it were in ALL CAPS. Just my graphic artist experience howling.

Anyone heading south Jan. 3?

there are some other locations just south of catavinia which are more reasonable rate-wise. we havent stayed at any of them but people have told us they are rustic and clean.

I believe one is called HOTEL LINDA. On the left as you drive south. past catavinia.

Mula - 12-31-2012 at 06:27 AM

Hotel Linda is scary. Might maybe have hot water, otherwise it's pretty darn cold. Generator goes off early, so be sure to take a flashlight to your room with you . . . and it is seldom on in the morning when you need it.

I did get some quesadillas in the dining room once - that were almost unedible, but I was starving.

Not a good place for a good night's sleep.

IMHO

Pompano - 12-31-2012 at 05:13 PM

Sometime in the winter of 1997.

When all else failed, but......once was enough.

I recall it hurt to stay there. It hurt the way your tongue hurts after you accidentally staple it to the wall.

Bob H - 1-1-2013 at 11:51 AM

Hotel Linda sounds like a nasty place! Glad we never stayed there.
