Abreojos Property Tax?

joel - 1-7-2013 at 09:17 PM

I just asked someone to help sort out property tax on my Abreojos property. Is it correct that it's paid in Mulege? What should I expect to pay per parcel out on the point?

Curt63 - 1-7-2013 at 09:35 PM

Ask RTS551. He will point you toward the answer.

Mula - 1-8-2013 at 09:19 AM

In Lopez - it is 196 pesos a year property tax for 20m X 30m lots with some sort of structure on it.

For the same type of lot with nothing on it - 407 pesos a year. Needless to say - for the joke of it - the mules are getting a palapa barn on their lot this year.

Shari we pay at the delegado in Abreojos Price depends on size of structure as well as size of lot. We also pay a premium (read higher price) if we live within the biosphere tourist zone out on the point. I don't know of anyone here who goes to Santa Rosalia to pay their property tax. we also get a 30% discount if we pay early.

The Delegation in BA has asked us and others to please pay at the local delegation because if one pays in Santa Rosalia, the money is apt to stay there, unless something has changed in the last year. ??

Shari, do you pay all of yours locally or in Santa Rosalia??

same here in ABreojos. I sent a message to Joel this morning.

guess what ???? La Bocana does not even have property taxes ! I still don't understand that one, but we don't complain either.

rts551 - 1-8-2013 at 03:43 PM

Because you are not a city. you are still an Ejido.

shari - 1-8-2013 at 04:13 PM

we pay in Sta.Rosalia because they offer discounts...

rts551 - 1-8-2013 at 06:17 PM

They don't pass on discounts in Asuncion? I would think they would in order to have you support the town. Interesting. I'll ask our Delegada tomorrow what the rule is. Maybe you could talk to yours, get the discount and save yourself a trip all the way to Santa Rosalia.

Jeeeeees Blanca, now now they are all going to move here.;D

Don't let them know we are getting piped water and a Costso too.

rts551 - 1-8-2013 at 06:55 PM

maybe piped water (its not turned on yet and do you have your pila done?) but a Costco for sure...probably that building up by the llantera!

msteve1014 - 1-8-2013 at 07:00 PM

People have been filling their tanks up the hill outside town. The water is that close. I don't know how it will get in to my kitchen yet. I think the water is closer than the Costco.

shari - 1-8-2013 at 08:10 PM

Obviously we tried to get the discounts locally and said we'd be happy to pay if they offered the same discount as Sta.Rosalia...but they dont. We pay online so dont have to make the trip there anyway. We would prefer to pay here but got no cooperation from the catastro here...plus they made several errors.

joel - 1-8-2013 at 11:17 PM

Shari,

How do you pay ONLINE?!

shari - 1-9-2013 at 08:36 AM

via online banking...just get the bank account # from the catastro folks.

I heard yesterday that the date for opening the costco is March. Someone said there is a permit pending AND they are accepting partners as it will be independent from the cooperative for financial reasons. They still have to sort thru resumes for managers etc. as well.

good bet on which will happen first-water or costco LOL

the pila is done. the final tubing to each individual house is not.

a Costco in La Bocana???? holy snappin shopping...I'll believe it when I can go buy croissants. It will be a great reason to come and visit you more often Blanca....seems a bit unlikely though with such a small customer base...maybe
Guerrero Negro may be better. Perhaps it's someone just buying and reselling Costco stuff...we have a little store here that does that...but at quite high prices.

Our Pemex is supposed to be open in February....it's a race.
