I've noticed a pattern in my Baja travels. I run across lots of American Teachers and Fire Service.
I'm wondering how many of us Bajanomads fall in these categories.

current teacher of English as a Second Language at the local middle school (7th, 8th and 9th graders)in La Bocana and I agree... there are so many
firemen and teachers loving Baja. We noticed that quite a few of our B&B guests were retired teachers/professors.
I also sometimes teach lower level French. Mais oui !
And in about 3 weeks I start basic conversational Spanish for those who want to pass the Citizenship test.
But really, we are both retired.

Brett is curremtly a Fire Chief and IC on an Incident Management Team here in Oregon. I am a retired Dispatcher and work on large fires as an Incident
Communications Manager/Radio Operator durning the summer fire seasons.

I've been teaching at an elementary school here in Washington for 21 years as both a first and second grade teacher. Before that as a Kindergarten and
pre-school teacher in Northern California. I love the joy of learning that young children have...everything is new to them! I guess teachers love to

36 years in the trenches.......loved every second (well, most of them), Ele. middle and high school somewhere in the 36. Now work at a health club

28 years in the fire service - Division Chief. Spent time as a Bttalion Chief, Captain, Firefighter\Paramedic. Best time in my career was riding
