BUMMER! TO GOOD TO BE TRUE!

I spoke with Aero Mexico yesterday and they ARE NOT going to be flying to Loreto. They simply have partnered with Alaska Airlines and do a "code share" with them. It simply means you can make a reservation with Aero Mexico but will be flying the normal Alaska flights. I check the prices and they were exactly the same as the Alaska web site.

If someone knows different, let us know as it would be great if someone else actually flew in.

I wish my business had a monopoly like Alaska does going into Loreto. I could charge whatever the market would give. "The capitalist's dream."

Howard, would you like some cheese with that whine?

I'm SO grateful that Alaska/Horizon services Loreto......and every time I drive down from Oregon, I realize the airfare is worth every dime!

What I find interesting is the leg of this flight that goes from Loreto to Mexico City. I assume that you can return from Mexico without going to LA of course. This flight makes travel to the mainland faster and easier, and probably less expensive. Right now to go to the mainland I drive or bus to La Paz, spend the night, then fly-- same thing coming home to Loreto.

It might also open up new possibilities for those flying in from the midwest and the east, coming through Mexico City instead of LA.

He must refer to the special Sat. flights the resort has for their customers, that are apparently open to anyone, if there's space available.

Where in the States are the connections for the charters arranged by Ensenada Blanca and how can one check on availability?

If you go to the Aeromexico website you can now select "Loreto" as a destination (a first) and it shows the only other paired city as Los Angeles; but you can't buy anything yet & they don't show the times either. The fact that they list Loreto as a city where they fly is a good sign.
