We've booked a 3-day,2-night trip from Rosarito to Guerrero Negro to see the whales up close and personal in February. I am very excited about this
experience. Can anyone give me any hints of particular things we should bring or do??

Bring your awe and wonder!
If you can link up with Shari Bondy, an English speaking whale researcher, that could add significantly to your experience. Her whale watching
expeditions are informative and fun. It's great to have an expert along. She has a couple of trips planned including trip(s?) in Feb. You can access
her at this link:

You are going to have a wonderful trip!
bring warm clothes as it can be cold in the mornings...and make sure you have lots of camera gear...extra batteries, memory cards etc. A camera you
can stick under the water is pretty cool too.Lots of folks start snapping away before things really heat up and run out of battery or card space when
the good stuff happens!
although sometimes focusing on getting photos can lessen your experience....sometimes it's just great to forget the camera and pay attention to the
gentle giants!!!! Often you can get photos from others on your boat too.
It's wise to have a gear bag onboard so all your stuff is together...bring a water bottle and make sure all your stuff stays in the bag. Many people
in their excitement when a whale comes close to the boat, will drop something like a water bottle and the sound of that can frighten a whale and cause
it to be unpredictable...like tail slap a boat or bump it.
