Well, the place is chosen, soon as some details are worked out...BUT, it has character. It's cool in that, I can make fun of it.
HOWEVER, I have asked a dozen times, got a dozen various answers. WHAT is the best option for T.V, internet in Rosarito?
One local said to get a satelite package in the states, then, bring all the gizmos to Rosarito, install it, and I will have more channels? WTF?
Really? Who can say? somebody, I hope. As for the phone, I went to Walmart, bought a throw away with a number and put 400 minutes on it. To call the
states, I got a 'Magic Jack'. $19.95 a year, free calls. Why not? $40.
The TV is a BIG thing with me. I keep it on almost 24/7 for the 'company'. I work better when there is a story in the background. Keeps me out of self
also. It's been spooky there lately, lol...
Actually, if anybody, has ANY advise about moving to Baja, I would appreciate it. I have, UNWILLINGLY been gone, for many years, but I feel I'm home
now. Any help will be welcome.

for internet I recommend going to the telephone company and do it as a package deal.
for TV, there is a cheapo deal called VE TV - it gives you lots of channels but not all of them are in English - how is your Spanish these days ? I

You can now get Internet and Dish Tv through Telnor as a package deal. Most of the Dish programing Is in English with Spanish Sub Titles.willardguy - 1-21-2013 at 07:08 PM
if you know someone NOB with directv have them get a 2nd (or 3rd or 4th) receiver and just cart it down to your place, dishes are easy to come by( 20

I am not full-time and I have a DVR and internet in the States. I spend about half the year in La Paz so originally I went with the Telmex package of
phone, internet and Dish TV for about $46/mo US for our home in La Paz. I later learned about Sling Box! The Sling Box is a one-time purchase of
about $150 US. With a lap top computer (that we take everywhere) I can connect directly to my DVR at home where I have access to my Direct TV
programming, any shows I have recorded and even pay-per View. You can do this anywhere in the world that has internet access and when I am in La Paz
I simply connect my lap top to my TV via an HDMI cable so I can watch everything on large screen. Of course the people back at home will have to
watch what you are watching
I also heard that with a WD Live TV streaming unit I can now accomplish the same without the laptop. Just had one delivered and will be headed south
next week to see if it works.

How about just turning on a radio....K&T Me no flouride water and No TV... I think the direct tv would be the way to go If you MUST have a boob
