Hello to My Baja Friends and my other Friends,
Wow. Time is flying by too fast. I’m getting old. I hope life is treating you all well.
Yesterday afternoon I was about fifteen miles east of Mesa, AZ. (I’m riding a bicycle from San Diego to St Augustine, FL to Connecticut. The weather
has been horrible.) I stopped for five minutes and seriously thought about turning around and heading for the Baja. I really miss the Baja. I decided
I better not change my course. Maybe next fall I will head down route one and reunite with some old friends.
I became interested in writing a while back. I have a long way to go. I have just completed a novelette called El Norte based on my powered
paragliding days in the Baja. I got the idea for El Norte when I walked into a swarm of Monarch butterflies who were struggling against an offshore
wind on a beach at Nantucket. El Norte is a true story except I added one Jalapeno pepper. I wanted to give the story plot. It made things a lot more
complicated doing that. I don’t really regret it. I didn’t want to give people a boring book to read.
This is quirky story about a nutty guy. I think it might be called dark comedy. It does have a plot and the protagonist does battle some demons. It’s
a little over 16,000 words. I think the length is appropriate. Apparently the average reader will finish it off in one hour. It might be good not to
read it right before bedtime, especially if you already suffer from insomnia.
This is the scary time for me as author. I need to announce it. The book has been sitting for sale for a while and no one has bought a copy. I’m
hoping my friends will spend three bucks, read it and give it a review. I actually enjoy reading it. I hope my friends will enjoy it as well and have
a few laughs. Perhaps this book will become a big disaster. That is a possibility. If it happens I will persevere. It’s just something I will have to
go through. Once I have a bunch of reviews it will all become clear whether this book is worth reading.

For that price I would have ordered a copy if it was available on Kobo. Maybe you can fix that?

I dont appreciate Charles harrassing me and my neighbors with fly-bys and photos.
Perhaps Charles should ask himself if he would like it if I fly over his house, over and over, taking photos of his private home and causing children
and sunbathers to run in fear from being buzzed by a noisy gas powered low flying aerial machine while he was relaxing in his garden with family and
friends.
Charles-you got your phtoos-Please visit less often-you are very rude and irritating. It's like jey ski ruiing your day or a quad harrasing you while
you are relaxing in Baja.

Ya sure, if man was supposed to fly with the birds, he would have wings! LOL

I would hate him also if he would fly often over our area.
That is an intrusion like Gnukid describes.

Charles is a Baja Nomad (cvchandler) and made several posts here in 2009 and 2010... He also was the photographer for the 2010 Baja Calendar produced
