Maybe some of you guys that take the ferry to the mainland have used this route to avoid Nogales, I am exiting Mexico at Agua Prieta, thought I would
visit Tombstone AZ. and other sites. Any tips or anything to look out for along that route? I am interested from Hermosillo to Agua Preita....
Thanks in advance...

When in Tombstone, drop down and visit Bisbee and have a beer at the Silver Queen Hotel.

Since you didnt ask about Bisbee or tombstone, I'll just stick to Hiway 14..Not a bad drive, and lots of nice towns and villages..most restaurants
like almost anywhere in Mexico are pretty good..Pay attention on the Mexican side as you get near Agua Prieta to the copper and talc mines and the
surrounding villages...The best statue I have ever seen of Pancho Villa is in Naco, west of Agua Prieta..got a great pic of Old Pancho with about 18
inches of SNOW on his hat. Another neat village is Santa Cruz, if you can find it. The border crossing to it was closed , we used to lift the fence
and go to it anyhow. Apple orchards and old timey cantina with horses and mules hitched outside on Sundays..Cool part of Mexico

IF, you get to Bisbee, and it is worth the time..........
Check out the Shady Dell Motel, a collection of vintage restored trailers (and boats) which are the motel rooms.
