I see that the data on biodiversity is really out of date, at least for Baja. It lists 2705 plant species on the Baja peninsula. However, there are
around 4000 species that have been identified to date! But the fact that Mexico has great biodiversity still holds up nicely. Baja's Sonoran Desert
subsection is also comparatively highly biodiverse.
