8 DEAD. A group of 38 Mexicans traveling from Big Bear to Los Angeles were involved in a trajic accident today Sunday 2/3/2013 @ 1830 hours. 8 have
been confirmed dead, but unfortunately that number is expected to change.

While not official, evidently some of the survivors and the bus driver have reported that the brakes failed on that mountain road. It appears that
many of the passengers were medical students from Tijuana.

On KNX 1070, AM in Los Angeles, they reported that the bus driver had yelled at passengers to cal 911 because the brakes were inoperative.
As of early this afternoon, two bodies still remained in the bus, unable to remove them.DENNIS - 2-4-2013 at 05:55 PM

Arce is a common name down here, perhaps all related somewhere in the past, but common.
