1983 Estero Beach....my dad did that on accident trying to launch the zodiac in huge surf. He dumped all scuba gear on board into the ocean.

There was a great photo of "Mojo" breaking out of Morro Bay taken in the late 1970's as I recall.

Large boat, 80+ long as I recall. Lot of damage.

Perhaps someone more familiar with computers than I can find it, great photo.

Surfed Ocean Beach growing up. The waves are bigger, more powerful than the video looks. Kooky risking a boat like that.

I can't believe that was OB and he was so close to shore ..... crazy in so many ways.

ElCap - 2-7-2013 at 02:10 PM

I'm pretty sure that was the same day as the Mavericks surf contest. OB was about as big and perfect as it gets, and there were a bunch of pro surfers in town for the contest, so the quality of surfing was rather high. This video was from the same day as that boat launch

(you might want to turn down the volume, the soundtrack sucks)

BTW, thats Ocean Beach in San Francisco, not San Diego!

Depending where the blisters are, if they are on the ankle area, you might want to cut off the back of the sneakers where it is rubbing, to give it a chance to heal.
