Highway 1 from El Centenario to Chametla (end of the freeway) is undergoing widening to four lanes, currently in the early stages. It is constricted
to 2 very narrow lanes with edges dropping off from 6 inches to 3 feet. Extreme caution is warranted. Also a cute little detour around the
construction of the airport overcrossing should be approached with caution. Less hazardous are the detours around the overcrossing at the "cola de
ballena". Where did they get all that money? Elections are over!
