I just did my interview at the Otay office. 30 minutes in and out! :tumble:

I brought bank statements to show rental income. That's the only income I have since I retired early. The officer pressed for more but I blew him off until he relented. I did bring my stock portfolio just in case but I really didn't want to bring that out if I didn't have to.

Basically you just need to show/convince them that you are financially stable.

I can't want to try the Sentri card out on my way back from Cancun in May then San Felipe in June. :) Then who knows!

Cya guys in the Sentri line!

Less Time in Line

More time getting run through computer databases.

I hope that you all your relatives are squeaky clean because the IRS, the DEA and Homeland Security will run your licence every time you pass through.

A friend who had a cousin who had a conviction for marijuana possession had his Sentri pass revoked - forever.

An acquaintance who had a Sentri Pass had all his bank accounts seized by the IRS because they claimed he was lying about his reporting. It turns out his ex-wife was driving the car at the time they said he wasn't where he said he was.

Enjoy my friend. Best thing that's happened to me! Makes it so much easier.

Only used 3 times, allready worth the 240 I paid for it. A godsend!

BajaGeoff - 2-15-2013 at 12:09 PM

The first few times I used mine it felt like cheating. Longest wait I have ever had was 20 minutes. I have driven from the Rosarito Beach Hotel to my house near downtown San Diego in 45 minutes. So worth it!

Economic solvency, I suppose that would suggest one
MIGHT be above smuggling something back of value?
$240 for, I believe 5 yrs.? Am I correct in the belief that the
application fee is not refundable if not approved?
And all people in vehicle need a sentri card, if using the
sentri lane?

Gaucho - 2-15-2013 at 04:14 PM

BEST money I ever spent...

"Club?" Odd "club."
