In an effort to make it pertinent to Baja,
I'll say there is wild oregano that grows in the hills of Baja Sur.
In the late afternoons it emits a wonderful, pungent scent.
Local folks pick it and use it in their flavorful sauces and caldos.

Got Sage?

I had this tenant a few months back. I am very sensitive to smells, and smelled what was like Marijuana in my home. So I knocked on the door where
the smell was coming from. My tenant told me he had to ward off evil spirits so he was burning sage. He told me he burned it to help clear his lungs
because they got bad during his tour in Iraq guarding areas where they used to burn tires. The weird part of it all was that he then started walking
around the house burning Sage at 10 pm in his uniform. I received a call a few days back looking for this guy...he had moved out a few weeks back and
attended a $3600 for 10 days cleansing regimen with his girlfriend. A total of $7200 for 10 days of enemas. He had gone AWOL...and from what someone
told me, he could be arrested and get a record for this. The smell of sage is not pleasant.Mulegena - 2-14-2013 at 11:39 PM
I, personally, love the scent of sage and sweetgrass!
We use them both in Native ceremonies to cleanse, calm and center our spirit. We may use feathers and other natural implements, but we don't walk
around in uniform or pay truckloads of pesos for the privilege... nor do we go awol. Lucky he "cleansed" your home of his bad spirit, EnsenadaDr.Bob H - 2-15-2013 at 12:23 AM
