For those of you who have taken a travel trailer to Baja Sur for it to live and not return to Ca., what are options for not having to register every
year?
Before contacting Ca DMV, I thought I would check with some experts first.
Thank you for any info you may be able to provide.

I was told in person by a DMV registration window employee that "PNR is absolutely NOT available in any form whatsoever for a trailer".

I brought a trailer down to stay and the dealer was able to tell DMV that it wasn't going to return.
NO Non-Op Status

Or any other "suspend" status for California Travel Trailers.
Period.
But, if it's not coming back, So What ?
The only point at which penalties would be a factor would be at an attempt to re-register.

You might consider the Calif. Permanent Trailer Identification Program.
Renewal is only $10 every 5 years.

That's a question I've been wanting answered! Our trailer has been sitting in CSL for about 10 years and I pay CA DMV about $70 a year for
registration.
When I moved and didn't pay it for a year or so, Dmv found out and garnished my wages on reg. pluss fines..I asked then how I could un-register it or
list it as NonOp, but was told with that type of trailer it was not allowed!
Will look into the website above. Thanks!

NO Travel Trailers. At least none that exceed 16' Total length.
Note the following from the linked site:
(3) Trailer coaches and park trailers, as described in subdivision (b) of Section 18010 of the Health and Safety Code, are exempted from the permanent
trailer identification plate program.
A Trailer Coach IS:
VC 635. A "trailer coach" is a vehicle, other than a motor vehicle, designed for human habitation or human occupancy for industrial,
professional, or commercial purposes, for carrying property on its own structure, and for being drawn by a motor vehicle. A "park trailer," as
described in Section 18009.3 of the Health and Safety Code, is a trailer coach
