I will be spending a night at Gonzaga probably on Monday on my way south. Never been there. I have a pop-up camper and a small trailer. Where might
I get a good meal and a place to pop my top for the night?

Meals at Alfonsina's... also Papa Fernandez' and at Rancho Grande.

I like to camp at Papa Fernandez and eating there as well. Vehicle is safe when you leave and plenty of privacy. Haven't eaten there for some time
but always have had a good meal.

,,,,,,the fish camps are bountiful if yer want to cook-your-own
,,,,the manager at Beluga was asking $25/night,,,will settle at $10,,,,that's what 'rancho' is charging apparently.
...I stayed at Beluga ~1-1/2 weeks ago,,,other's said rancho was nicer in some way.

It's been a few years... but, we loved camping at Papa Fernandez and eating at the cantina there. His grandaughters cooked our food and it was good

Indeed! They will cook your caught fish as well..... for a small fee.

I'll add my vote to Papa Fernandez...up and over the hill. Good sense of protection but typical of many Baja beaches in that the coyotes
are...curious....and thirsty...and hungry.

To help see the relationship of the various places mentioned:
The Rancho Grande market/ restaurant and Pemex station are at the west end of the airstrip going west from the Rancho Grande beach.
The above two are with north at the top. The next two are looking southwest from outside the bay:
The big arroyo north of Papa Fernandez' is where the new highway bridge is being built now... where the pavement ends, as well.

scratched into the remnants of one of the old shelters at papa,s some camper summed it up, "god don't ever make me stay here again"
opt for rancho grande or beluga.

from Gonzage, I assume your going through Coco's corner. Unless your pop-up is ruggedized, that road will loosen every fastener on your camper and
then the loose parts will start banging together and self destruct.
