We are traveling to San Ignacio for the first time in a motorhome. We will be leaving San Diego on March 16th and would love some recommondations for overnight stops and the best place to leave the motorhome for 2 days while out at the camp.

If you are going out to the lagoon with Kuyima, they have a place tp park it that's safe. Call them and verify.

Stops along the way

How about good RV overnight spots along the way?

After the whale watching, we are heading towards Sea of Cortez to Loreto, what are some good stops or places to stay on that route also?

From San Diego if you start at 7am or so, you can easily make Catavina in daylight, where there are two easily accessible dry camping spots. Coming into Catavina on the right is an old government RV site long abandoned but convenient in and out with no hook ups of any kind. Going out of town a mile or so on the left Rancho Santa Inez has some wide open spots. Both will cost between 5 and max 10 bucks. Several places in Mulege have hook ups, and on Conception Bay there are unlimited beachfront dry camping possibilities.
Enjoy the trip.
