I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Pacific Explorers. We are a dive company located in Bahia Asuncion, BCS, which is located on the central pacific coast of Baja California Mexico.

You may be asking yourself why would I want to go diving in Bahia Asuncion? This beautiful, safe seaside village is a great vacation destination for the whole family with lots to do and see when you aren’t diving. There are several great restaurants with fresh local seafood and activities like surfing, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, fossil hunting, bike rentals etc. to entertain you.

The islands & kelp forests surrounding the area make for unforgettable dives, and due to the fact that Asuncion is located in a biosphere reserve, there is an abundance of underwater wildlife to view.

Pacific Explorers is dedicated in keeping the ecological balance of this biosphere reserve, and as such, we employ the “look but don’t touch” method of diving. We are working hard with the Mexican Government to ensure that nothing will harm this natural wonder.

We offer tank rentals and tank fills full time. A tank rental is $15.00 USD/day (first fill included). A tank fill is $15.00 USD per fill.

We also offer dive charters full time. A minimum boat charge of $250.00 USD or $125.00 USD per diver (minimum two divers, max four divers per boat, rentals extra). Proof of valid certification is required for any dive charters.

We have a certified PADI O.W.S.I. (Open Water Scuba Instructor) who has over 20 years of diving experience and who is additionally certified Full Trimix. With this knowledge base we provide the following courses:

PADI Skin Diver Course - The PADI Skin Diver Course (snorkeling) is an excellent introduction to water safety for children (minimum age requirement is eight (8) years old) and adults alike. The academic portion of the PADI Skin Diver Course will instruct you on types of equipment, diving science, the environment, problem management and safe practices of skin diving.

PADI SCUBA Review - The PADI SCUBA Review Course provides previously certified divers, who have been away from diving, an opportunity to refresh their skills (both academic and in water) under the direction of a certified PADI Divemaster. The PADI SCUBA Review will cover all major fundamentals of the PADI Open Water Course.

Bubble Maker - The PADI Bubble Maker Course provides and introduction to youth (must be eight years of age), to the magic of diving. Maximum depth is 2m/6ft.

Seal Team - The PADI Seal Team Course is the next step for youth diving (must be eight years of age). Learn more of the fundamentals of safe diving, as well as wreck diving, and underwater environmental awareness.

Open Water Diver - The PADI Open Water Diver course is the first step to your diving education! Have you always wondered what life beneath the water held? This course will teach you the basics of Scuba Diving, starting with your confined water instruction, you will completed four open water dives. You can complete this course with our PADI on-line course offering.

If you would like your web site and Facebook page links to appear below each of your posts on Nomad, there is an area called 'signature'... You note I have a few links in my signature to make it easy for folks to find more Baja information that I have created.

1) Click 'Control Panel/ Options' (in blue, upper right corner of your Nomad screen).

2) Click 'Edit Profile' (in blue, upper-middle of screen).

3) Scroll down to box labeled 'Signature' and simply type in what you want to appear with every one of your Nomad contributions:
a slogan, (mine is "So Much Baja, So Little Time"),
photo [img] links if they are small, like 160 pixels,
and web sites you want to have handy for anyone reading your posts... http:// must be in front of the url...

4) Scroll to bottom and click 'Edit Profile'

Come back and change the signature anytime.
